The 4th PROT3CT workshop on Legal and Administrative Framework of Energy Efficiency in Historic Dwellings will focus on the legal/policy framework behind retrofit, energy efficiency and climate resilience through different presentations on Turkish and European cases.

The workshop will be held online through Zoom on 24 January 2023 Tuesday between 09:00-11:00 UK time (12:00-14:00 Turkey time).

Between June 10-12, 2022, a field study was organized in one of the project sites, Bitlis. The METU team consisting of Assoc. Dr. Ayşe Güliz Bilgin Altınöz, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sibel Yıldırım Esen, Dr. Elif Sırt Çıplak and Dr. Özgün Özçakır carried out the study. The aim of the study was to finish the documentation of the studied house, to examine the historical urban texture of Bitlis, and to hold a meeting with the stakeholders about the current status and progress of the project.

September 26 – October 1, 2021

The PROT3CT team carried out field surveys in Milas, Muğla; Kemerköy, Salihli, Manisa and Antakya, Hatay. We documented the selected houses, installed or collected data from already installed temperature and humidity sensors, interviews with the users of the selected houses as well as with inhabitants of other traditional houses and conducted meetings with local authorities and colleagues who work in the cultural heritage conservation field.
